Zacharias Rajagopal

Zacharias Rajagopal has a diverse work experience in various human resources roles. Zacharias is currently the Vice President - Human Resources at Bumi Armada, starting in March 2022. Prior to that, they were the General Manager - Human Resources at Bumi Armada from December 2019 to February 2022. Before joining Bumi Armada, they worked as the Director of Human Resources at Renaissance Hotels from June 2018 to November 2019, where they implemented improvements in employee engagement and workweek schedules. Zacharias also served as the Director of Human Resources (Pre-opening) at Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast from November 2017 to February 2018, overseeing pre-opening activities. In their early career, Zacharias held various human resources positions, including Cluster Human Resources Manager at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa and Employee Development Executive at FrieslandCampina (Dutch Lady Milk Industries Malaysia). Zacharias started their career as a Human Resources Administrator at GE Aviation.

Zacharias Rajagopal holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, which they completed from 2001 to 2006. Zacharias is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from Open University Malaysia, with an expected completion date in 2023. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications including Affiliate Member from CIPD in 2022, IELTS English certification in 2022, and Member from the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) in December 2020. Zacharias also holds a Certificate in Industrial Relations from the Malaysian Employers Federation obtained in 2019, and completed the HRDF Train The Trainer certification from HRDF - Human Resources Development Fund Malaysia in 2018. Zacharias has also served as part of the Industrial Advisory Panel at Universiti Tenaga Nasional.
