Dr. Frank Schippan

Dr. Frank Schippan serves as the VP of Industrial Engineering at Bundesdruckerei-Gruppe since January 2018, following a tenure as Vice President ID Production and Director of ID Production Engineering at Bundesdruckerei from January 2013 to December 2017, where responsibilities included optimizing costs and quality for printed products and solving complex technical issues. Prior to that, Dr. Schippan worked at First Solar in Global Engineering from April 2011 to December 2012, focusing on enhancing the quality and performance of solar modules across the value chain, and held an engineering role at Infineon Technologies from July 2000 to March 2011, ensuring the quality, yield, and reliability of complex products. Dr. Schippan earned a doctorate in Physics from the Paul-Drude-Institute of solid state electronics (1998-2000), a Master of Philosophy in Physics from Loughborough University (1996-1997), and completed undergraduate studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (1992-1996).
