Christoph Wigger

Christoph Wigger is a seasoned economist currently serving as a Dezernent at the Bundeskartellamt since April 2020, where responsibilities include supporting decision divisions in their proceedings and conducting statistical and econometric analyses. Previously, Wigger held the position of Referent within the Economic Issues in Competition Policy Unit from January 2021 to August 2023. Wigger's academic background includes a Dr. rer. pol. in economics from the University of Cologne and extensive research and teaching experience at various institutions, including serving as a postdoctoral researcher and teaching assistant at the University of Cologne. Wigger's early academic career includes roles as a graduate research and teaching assistant and an undergraduate research assistant, alongside completion of a Master of Science in economics from the University of Bonn and a Bachelor of Science in economics from the same university.
