Aishwarya Marathe is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the FDA, focusing on the survival of Listeria monocytogenes in refrigerated hard-boiled egg-based deli salads, while also serving as a Research Assistant at the Illinois Tech Institute for Food Safety and Health since September 2022. Previous experiences include an internship at Ed Miniat LLC and a role as a Clinical Dietitian at Shashwat Hospital in India, where Aishwarya developed diet plans for various patient groups and conducted nutritional evaluations. Aishwarya's research background includes an internship at the National Centre for Microbial Resource, where Aishwarya assessed airborne microbial communities and performed bacterial identification. Aishwarya holds a Master of Science in Food Safety and Technology from Illinois Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, along with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
