Román F. Baca II, PhD(C), MFA, is an accomplished Artistic Director and Co-Founder of Exit12 Dance Company, which focuses on the artistic experiences of US Marine Iraq War Veterans. Baca has served as a Consultant for The Drive Project, leading initiatives that promote recovery through the arts for military members. As a PhD Candidate at York St. John University, research explores the psychological aspects of participatory arts for veterans. Previous roles include Junior Research Scientist for the United States Air Force, Artistic Director of Ballet Theatre Company, and Alumni Associate at The Mission Continues. Baca’s educational background includes advanced degrees in Choreography and Theatre and Psychology from Trinity Laban and York St. John University, respectively, alongside studies in Non-Profit Management at Columbia University and a BA in Performing Arts from Saint Mary's College of California. Baca's extensive experience in the military, arts, and education highlights a commitment to supporting veterans through creative expression.
