Bill Hemstedt

Bill Hemstedt is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. Currently serving as the Technology Transformation Director at Bupa since January 2024, Bill previously held key roles at Bupa Global, including Interim CIO and Acting IT Director from July 2021 to January 2024. Bill's tenure at Bupa Global also included positions as Head of IT Delivery and Support and Interim Director of Applications Delivery and Support from April 2016 to May 2021. Prior to Bupa, Bill was a Delivery Manager at Bupa from 2006 to April 2016, and began a career at Logica, progressing from Programmer to Programme Manager from 1993 to 2006. Bill holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with French from the University of Nottingham, earned between 1989 and 1993.
