Robert Darius has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Robert is currently the Head of Data Business Development at Hubert Burda Media, where they focus on strategic business development driven by data and technology. Prior to this, they served as the Manager Digital Data Hub at the same company.
Before joining Hubert Burda Media, Robert worked as a Junior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company for three years. Robert also participated in the Transformational Leadership Coaching Programme at TPC Leadership.
Additionally, Robert has entrepreneurial experience as the Founder and Director of BreakOut e.V., a tech-enabled charity that organized travel competitions and raised approximately 100k EUR for education. At BreakOut e.V., they led a team of about 40 volunteers across several European cities.
Furthermore, Robert gained valuable experience as a Master Thesis Student at BMW Group, a Research Intern / Development Aid at URBIS Foundation, and a Visiting Student at Imperial College London. Robert also worked as a Visiting Associate at The Boston Consulting Group and an Intern Economic Research at Euler Hermes.
Lastly, Robert started their professional journey as an Intern at Link Success Industrial Ltd. in 2009.
Robert Darius has a diverse education history. Robert obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in the years 2011 to 2015. During their time at university, they also participated in an ERASMUS exchange program at Pierre and Marie Curie University, where they studied Physics for two semesters from 2012 to 2013. In addition to their degree in Philosophy, Robert also obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 2011 to 2013. Their academic pursuits continued as they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Munich from 2015 to 2018. During their master's program, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at UCL in 2016 as part of an exchange program, where they focused on Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
