Kevin Sturlaugson has extensive experience in information technology and management, currently serving as Associate Chief Information Officer at the Bureau of Indian Affairs since January 2022. Previously, Kevin held multiple leadership roles at the Internal Revenue Service from February 2012 to January 2022, including Director of User and Network Services Operations Service and Support, Acting Director of Compliance, and Assistant to the Director of Compliance. Kevin has also served as Assistant Director of Applications Development at the IRS and held various positions such as NMCI Enterprise Applications and Services Department Head at the Department of Navy and Service Manager at NuLaser. Kevin's career began in the US Navy as a Fire Controlman from 1987 to 1997. Educationally, Kevin completed the IRS Senior Executive Service Career Development Program and the Executive Leadership Development Program, alongside PMP training.
