Cheryl Flango has extensive experience in labor statistics, currently serving as Branch Chief for Occupational Safety & Health Statistics at the Bureau of Labor Statistics since November 2003. Flango has also held positions as Assistant Regional Commissioner and Branch Chief overseeing Current Employment Statistics (CES) and Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) for the western region. Prior to these roles, Flango worked as a Field Economist focused on the National Compensation Survey and as a Supervisory Economist managing the Consumer Price Index. Earlier experience includes serving as an Economist in the Statistics of Income Division at the Internal Revenue Service, where responsibilities included data analysis and staff training. Cheryl Flango holds a Master of Public Administration in Financial Management & Economics from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from William & Mary.
