Peter Meyer

Peter Meyer currently serves as President and Board Member of Wikimedia District of Columbia since December 2013. Additionally, Peter has been a Research Economist at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics since December 2001, focusing on technological change and productivity statistics, with notable research on the invention of the airplane and its industry development from 1800 to 1915. Prior experience includes working as a Software Engineer at Symantec Corporation from September 1988 to August 1994, contributing to the development of Q&A software. Peter holds a PhD in Economics from Northwestern University and an A.B. in Applied Mathematics with Computer Science from Harvard University.
