Astrid Heward

Astrid Heward is an accomplished legal and executive professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Group Executive Enterprise Services and Chief Operating Officer at the Bureau of Meteorology since April 2018, Astrid has also held positions as General Manager Organizational Resilience and General Counsel, and General Counsel and General Manager - Legal & Commercial within the same organization. Prior experience includes roles as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Travelport Locomote and The Movember Foundation, as well as General Manager, Legal at Lion Nathan National Foods. Additional legal expertise was gained as Managing Counsel at Telstra, Legal Counsel at MCI WorldCom, and Solicitor at Nabarro LLP and Mallesons Stephen Jaques. Astrid holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, along with a GAICD qualification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
