Lauren Butler

Lauren Butler is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in government and public affairs. Currently serving as a Senior Legislative Specialist at the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement since March 2024, Lauren has previously held significant roles such as Panama Desk Officer and Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State between February 2020 and February 2024. Prior to that, Lauren worked at FEMA from August 2013 to February 2020 in various capacities including Executive Officer and Public Affairs Specialist. Additionally, Lauren was a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton from April 2006 to August 2013. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Agnes Scott College, completed in 2005, and furthered education at Mercyhurst University in 2011.
