Mel Hartman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They started their career as an Assistant Manager at Centura Bank in 1995 and then became an Electrician at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) in 1997. In 2003, they transitioned to working as an Electrician/Instrument Technician at Ingredion Incorporated until 2015. After that, they became a Co-Owner of The Islander Tavern from 2012 to 2015. In 2016, they joined Daifuku America as a Regional CMMS Specialist until 2019. Following that, they worked at Simpson Strong-Tie as a Production Control Analyst from 2019 to 2021 and then as a Maintenance Supervisor from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Mel holds the position of Lead Project Manager at Bureau Veritas Group, starting in 2022.
Mel Hartman's education history includes an Associate of Arts and Sciences - AAS degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from San Joaquin Delta College. They also have completed coursework in Criminal Justice and Corrections at Everett Community College. In addition, Mel has obtained various certifications, including a Certified Forklift Trainer from All Purpose Forklift Training I, a CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Red Cross, a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from Continuous Improvement NA, an ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) from the International Society of Automation (ISA), and many more.
