Craig Arnott

Deputy CIO at Burford Capital

Craig Arnott is Deputy Chief Investment Officer with responsibility across our entire investment portfolio as well as responsibility for growing and developing Burford's Australian market.

Prior to joining Burford, Mr. Arnott advised the company while serving as barrister at Sixth Floor Selborne and Wentworth Chambers in Sydney. Before being called to the Bar, he was a Partner and Head of Competition/Antitrust Law in London at the international firm Fried Frank. During his time at Fried Frank, Mr. Arnott oversaw many significant deals, serving as counsel to the pharmaceuticals company Merck in its acquisition of Schering-Plough and as European Counsel to Delta & Pine Land during its acquisition by Montsanto. Before his time at Fried Frank, Mr. Arnott worked at Cravath in New York, Gilbert + Tobin in Sydney and Ashurst in London.
