Max Smith

Max Smith is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment analysis and economic consulting. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at Burford Capital since July 2019, Max has held various positions at the company, including Vice President, Associate, and Quantitative Investment Analyst. Prior to Burford Capital, Max worked at Bates White Economic Consulting from September 2014 to July 2019, where roles included Senior Consultant and Summer Consultant. Additional early experience includes a summer internship at the Burton Blatt Institute in 2012. Max holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences and Economics from Northwestern University, obtained in 2014, and furthered education at UCL in 2012.
