Venkat Menon has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Venkat started their career at Standard Chartered Bank in 1991 as a Manager Payments. Venkat then moved to HDFC Bank and worked as a Senior Assistant Vice President for Retail Operations. In 2000, they joined BNP Paribas India as the Head of Operations, where they had overall management responsibility for various departments. In 2004, they joined Qatar National Bank as the Head of Operational Risk and Business Development. Venkat played a crucial role in developing operation risk control policies. In 2005, they became the General Manager Operations at Burgan Bank and later held various roles such as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Retail Banking Officer. Eventually, they became the Group Chief Operations & Technology and the Chief Center of Excellence. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Operating Services Officer at Burgan Bank.
Venkat Menon earned an MBA in General Management from the University of Mumbai. In addition, they obtained a certification as an SDN Accredited Practitioner from the Service Design Network in July 2022.
