Mitchell Tijerina

Mitchell Tijerina is a Geographic Information System Specialist at Burgess & Niple, starting in January 2025. Since January 2017, Mitchell has been the Founder and Co-Director of Aesthetic Voyager Films, a documentary film company that includes the NGO "La Gente," dedicated to amplifying indigenous voices through audio-visual storytelling. Prior experience includes serving as Geospatial Data Visualization Project Manager for The END Fund, where responsibilities included aggregating data and creating interactive maps for disease and funding needs across 23 countries. Additionally, Mitchell interned as a GIS Market Research Intern at Brixmor Property Group, analyzing foot traffic patterns in shopping centers, and worked as a Geography Graduate Teaching Assistant at Ohio University. Mitchell holds a Master's degree in Geography with a focus on GIS from Ohio University and a Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Denison University.
