Karen DiScala has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Karen began their career as a Vice President at Executive Enterprises from 1993 to 1997. Following that, they worked at Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a Senior Project Manager from 1997 to 1999. From 2000 to 2004, Karen worked as a Freelancer Copywriter for various companies. Karen then joined Y-MARKETING as a Senior Copywriter from 2004 to 2006.
In 2006, Karen joined Barnes & Noble College Booksellers, LLC as a Manager of Corporate Communications. Karen was responsible for developing strategic corporate and brand messaging and managing the company news blog. From 2011 to 2014, Karen worked at Burlington Stores as an Internal Communications Manager, where they created and managed an internal communications department and executed strategic communication plans.
Karen's next role was at Saks Fifth Avenue/HBC, where they served as the Director of Internal Communications from 2014 to 2015. In this position, they provided communications support for organizational changes and worked with C-Level executives to develop communication strategies.
In 2015, Karen joined Deloitte & Touche LLP as a Communications Manager in the Change Management Office. Their role involved supporting change initiatives through effective communication.
Since 2016, Karen has been with Burlington Stores, Inc., initially as the Director of Internal Communications and later promoted to Vice President of Internal Communications. Their responsibilities include developing an in-house internal communications function and spearheading the implementation of new communications platforms.
Throughout their career, Karen has consistently demonstrated their expertise in internal communications, change management, and developing strategic communication plans.
Karen DiScala attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1983 to 1987, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
