Meskes Berkouwer

Meskes Berkouwer has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 2006, Meskes began their career at CVDT Consulting, where they served as an Investment Manager in China until 2009. From 2009 to 2012, Meskes took on the role of Managing Director at the same company. In 2013, they briefly worked as a Strategy Consultant for Sustainability at Accenture in Singapore.

Meskes then joined BP in 2014, where they held multiple roles. From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Business Integrator for Lubricants in China. They then transitioned to the role of Fuels Value Chain Transformation in Europe from 2016 to 2018. Finally, Meskes worked as a Pricing Manager in China from 2018 to 2019.

In 2020, Meskes joined PowerGen Renewable Energy as the Manager for Business Development and Capital Raising. They remained in this role until the end of 2022. Currently, Meskes is working as the Head of Carbon Finance at BURN, starting in 2023.

Meskes Berkouwer started their education in 2000 at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics in 2006. In 2003, they also pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. In 2013, they attended INSEAD and completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree.
