Suman Majumdar

Suman Majumdar is a highly experienced health professional currently serving as Chief Health Officer for COVID and Health Emergencies, and Deputy Program Director for Health Security at Burnet Institute since December 2013. In addition to this role, Suman is co-head of the Tuberculosis Elimination & Implementation Science Working Group, Deputy Head of the Know-C19 Strategic Flagship Initiative, and an Infectious Diseases Specialist and Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Health. Suman also holds adjunct academic positions at Monash University and serves as a Consultant Infectious Diseases Physician at Epworth HealthCare, along with maintaining a role as an Infectious Diseases Physician at Alfred Health. Previous positions include Deputy Chief Health Officer for COVID-19 at the Victorian Department of Health and Principal Medical Adviser for the Australian Department of Health.
