Amy Redington Riley

Based out of the Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania office, Member Amy Redington Riley maintains a diverse civil litigation practice at Burns White, with an emphasis on defending hospitals, physicians and long-term care facilities in professional and general liability claims.

Prior to returning to her hometown in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Ms. Riley was a litigation attorney in Boston, Massachusetts, for nearly ten years, with the majority of her time dedicated to the defense of medical malpractice, legal malpractice, construction site injury, and premises liability cases. Most recently, Ms. Riley managed a multistate caseload for an insurance carrier, where she developed proficiency both in analyzing coverage-related issues and in negotiating the settlement of catastrophic claims nationwide.

Ms. Riley graduated from Boston University School of Law in 1996. She received a B.A. in English and Comprehensive Social Science, magna cum laude, from Marywood University in 1993.

Ms. Riley is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Lackawanna County Bar Association, and the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association.
