Infrastructure Advisory, Australia at Buro Happold

Andrew is a senior project finance and infrastructure professional. He is leading the launch of Buro Happold’s presence in Australia.

He has over 30 years of experience working in strategic consulting roles, including innovative infrastructure procurement and funding, green financing, sustainability and energy transformation.

In his role, Andrew is keen to implement environmental strategies including green financing, energy as a managed service, renewable energy transactions and precinct development via commercial partnering. He leverages his expertise in commercial motivations, risk appetite and expertise of the public and private sectors to pursue projects that are bankable, competitive and innovative.

Andrew possesses strong credentials in innovative and traditional procurement methods. This includes significant experience with public private partnership (PPP), performance contracts and risk transfer mechanisms. He is also familiar with the value and scope of consulting mandates across a broad range of procurement phases and infrastructure projects.

Initially starting his career as an architect, Andrew possesses extensive experience creating successful infrastructure projects across the health, research and education sectors. He has worked in many locations across Australia and South East Asia including Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

Andrew has a master’s in International Business from the University of Melbourne as well as a bachelor’s in Architecture from RMIT University.
