Iris van den Nieuwenhuizen

Iris van den Nieuwenhuizen has had a varied work experience. Iris began their career in 2007 as a Teamleider Verkoop Afhandeling at Albert Heijn. In 2011, they became a Board Member at Honoursvereniging Ockham, and in 2013, they were a Board Member at W.S.Z.V. Aqua. Iris also completed an Internship Product Design at Agri Information Partners in 2014, and an Internship Physics Teacher at Carmel College in 2012. In 2017, they were a Trainee at Bakker Barendrecht B.V., and in 2018, they were a Sales Engineer at Codema Systems Group. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Breeder at KP Holland, and is currently a Breeder & Operational Manager at Burpee Gardening.

Iris van den Nieuwenhuizen has a diverse educational background. From 2009 to 2015, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Twente. During their time at the University of Twente, they also completed a Minor in Secondary Education and Teaching, as well as an Honours Programme in Interdisciplinary Curriculum. From 2013 to 2016, they attended Wageningen University & Research, where they completed a Master Preparation Programme in Plant Sciences. In 2016, they completed a Master of Science in Biowetenschappen: Land- en Tuinbouwkunde (Tuinbouwkunde) from Ghent University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Ahold, NIBHV, The International Baccalaureate, and Cambridge ESOL.
