Research And Sociology at Busara Center for Behavioral Economics

Herine Onyango is an experienced research professional with a strong background in health, education, economic hardship, and market research. Currently a Research Assistant at the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics since July 2015, Herine has been involved in both qualitative and quantitative projects, handling responsibilities that include piloting and pre-testing research tools. Previously, Herine served as Team Lead for research initiatives at Georgetown University Initiative on Innovation Development and Evaluation, managing teams and spearheading awareness projects on agricultural insurance in Siaya County. Prior experience includes roles with Impact Research & Development Organization as a Home Based HTC Counselor and Innovations for Poverty Action as a Senior Field Officer, focusing on data collection and team leadership. Herine holds a Diploma in Social Work and Community Development from Siaya Institute of Technology and is pursuing a Certificate in HTC from the Institute of Preventive Health.
