Jacob Cook has held various roles in the tech industry since 2009. In 2009, they began working at Haury's Lake City Collision as a Marketing and Information Technology Services, managing a small corporate IT system. In 2013, they founded and became the Lead Developer for CitizenWeb, managing development, hosting, and deployment of open-source privacy and security projects. In 2014, they became a Freelance Software Engineer for Coderouge. In 2017, they joined Savoir-faire Linux as a Project Director and Free Software Consultant, crafting responses to leads and calls for tender, managing client communication and relationships, and leading development teams. Finally, in 2018, they joined Busbud as an Engineering Manager, Senior Tech Lead, and Senior Software Developer, increasing focus on broader team leadership, strategy and oversight, technical direction and mentorship, project management and execution methodology, team organization, interviews and hiring, executive reporting, and creation of SR&ED reports.
Jacob Cook attended Concordia University from 2011 to 2013, where they studied Political Science and French Studies. Jacob also graduated from Evergreen Lutheran High School in 2008 with a High School Diploma.
