Shamir Pira

Shamir Pira, CPA has a diverse work experience. Shamir began their career in 2016 as an Assurance Intern at EY, where they were exposed to the financial services industry. In 2017, they were promoted to Staff Accountant at EY, where they worked on audit and review engagements for a variety of clients. In 2019, they joined Richter Consulting, Inc. as a Financial Analyst, where they investigated underperforming investments and built financial models. In 2021, Shamir joined Lever as a Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance & Operations, where they maintained and built financial models, queried and analyzed data, and supported due diligence and custom reporting efforts. In 2023, they were promoted to Manager, Finance & Business Operations at Busbud. Outside of their professional experience, Shamir has also held various volunteer positions, including Treasurer and Academics Coordinator for Commerce Executive on Orientation (CEO), Logistics Coordinator for Queen's Non-Profit Gateway, and Fundraiser for Public Outreach Fundraising.

Shamir Pira, CPA completed their CPA designation from CPA Ontario in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting from Queen's University in 2017. Shamir attended the University of Toronto Schools from 2007 to 2013.
