Matthias Valan

Matthias Valan has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Matthias started their career at Youth Frontiers as a Youth Corps Intern in 2014. Later, they worked at Moorhead Area Public Schools - ISD 152, first as a 6th Grade AVID Teacher from 2015 to 2017, and then as an AVID Site Coordinator from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, Matthias joined Junkyard Brewing Company, where they served as the Director of Wholesale and Distribution until 2019, and then took on the role of Director of Marketing and Advertising from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, they returned to Moorhead Area Public Schools - ISD 152 as an Online High School Elective Teacher until 2021. Currently, Matthias is working at Bushel as a Customer Success Manager II, a position they have held since 2022. In this role, they build relationships with clients, develops customized success plans, and provides guidance and support to drive customer growth in the agriculture technology industry.

Matthias Valan has a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts and Literature Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Matthias also holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a specialization in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from the same university. In 2014, they briefly attended the University of Helsinki, where they focused on Education. Matthias Valan obtained a teaching certification, specifically a Montana Teaching License, from the Montana Office of Public Instruction in January 2022.
