Roberto Ramirez

Roberto Ramirez has a diverse work experience in the agriculture industry, focusing on greenhouse vegetable production. Roberto began their career as an Assistant Grower at Agros SA de CV in 2007, where they learned the basics of hydroponic greenhouse vegetable production, with a particular emphasis on tomatoes. During this time, they also served as a crop labor quality supervisor and was a part of the HACCP management team.

In 2008, Ramirez joined Windset Farms as a Grower and Production Manager, overseeing a 5-hectare hi-tech greenhouse. Their responsibilities included producing various cucumber varieties, such as long English and cocktail. Roberto worked in this role until 2013.

Following their time at Windset Farms, Ramirez joined Houweling's Tomatoes in 2013 as a Grower. Here, they continued to apply their expertise in greenhouse vegetable production for a range of crops. After two years, they transitioned to Reiter Affiliated Companies in 2015, where they served as the Director of Regional Substrate. In this role, Ramirez was responsible for managing the substrate needs of the company's regional operations.

Most recently, Ramirez joined Bushel Boy Farms in 2020 as the Head Grower. This role signifies their significant experience and expertise in greenhouse vegetable production, leading the growing operations of the company.
