Marianne Pemberton is a seasoned professional in sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) with a career spanning over a decade. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor for Sustainability and ESG at BDC since September 2023, Marianne previously held various leadership roles at BMO Radicle, including VP of Climate Smart, where strategic direction was provided to a team of Sustainability Advisors across multiple sectors in Canada and the US. Marianne's experience includes managing client services at Climate Smart Businesses Inc., where substantial efforts were made in greenhouse gas emissions reduction, and serving as an Ethical Buyer at LUSH, ensuring compliance with social and environmental standards. An educational background includes an MA in International Development Studies from the University of Guelph and a BA in Political Science and Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Waterloo.
