James F. Bennett

James F. Bennett is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in renewable energy and offshore wind initiatives. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Advisors for the American Offshore Wind Academy and as a Business Development Manager at Burns & McDonnell, James also contributes as an Industry Instructor and Subject Matter Expert for the Business Network for Offshore Wind. Additionally, James holds a position on the Board of Directors for the same organization and instructs at the Offshore Wind Skills Academy at the University of Delaware. Prior to these roles, James had a distinguished career at the U.S. Department of the Interior, culminating in positions such as Senior Advisor and Program Manager for the Office of Renewable Energy Programs. James began the professional journey as a Community Planner and Environmental Specialist at the National Capital Planning Commission. Academically, James F. Bennett earned a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia, a Master of Science in Computer Systems Management from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Catholic University of America.
