Federico Espinosa has a diverse range of work experience in the field of education and language learning. Federico began their career as an English teacher in various international institutions, including Rennert International and AKCENT International House Prague. Federico later worked as an English professor at Université Bordeaux1 and Université Victor Segalen Bordeaux 2. Espinosa also held roles as an English professor at Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature (ENM) and as a senior trainer at ALLC International House Beirut.

In terms of leadership roles, Espinosa worked as a general and business English teacher at Rennert International and as an implementation architect at Knewton, where they managed the development of adaptive learning products for major education publishers in the EMEA region. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry from Reed College, which they completed from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their degrees, Espinosa has obtained multiple certifications. Federico obtained the IH Teacher Training Certificate from the International House World Organisation in August 2015. In December 2014, they achieved the Delta Module 1 with Merit and became a Cambridge English: First (FCE) Speaking Examiner, both through the Cambridge English Language Assessment. Additionally, in August 2014, they obtained the Delta Module 2 with Merit from the Cambridge English Language Assessment. In January 2014, Espinosa obtained The IH Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teenagers (IHCYLT) from the International House World Organisation. Finally, they obtained The Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Adults (CELTA) Pass B from the Cambridge English Language Assessment in December 2010.
