Mel Whiteside

Mel Whiteside is currently the Executive Director of the Office of Career and Professional Development at Wichita State University, where they lead, serve, inspire, and support the personal and professional growth of faculty, staff, and students. Mel previously served as the Dean at Butler Community College and has a background in program management and instructional design from their time at FlightSafety International. With experience in curriculum development and program marketing, Mel has a strong commitment to continuous improvement and transparency in their work. They hold a Master of Arts in Career and Technical Education from Ball State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Tabor College.
