Carlo Paredes

Carlo Paredes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Carlo is currently working as a Software Engineer at ButterflyMX®, a position they started in February 2022. Prior to this, Carlo worked as a Software Engineer at Meredith Corporation from October 2020 to February 2022, specializing in Bizrate Insights.

Carlo also gained experience as a Frontend Developer at Kimay Studios from May 2020 to October 2020. In this role, they developed production code in VueJS and collaborated closely with the lead frontend engineer on UI/UX direction for multiple projects.

Before transitioning to software engineering, Carlo founded CP Private Education in 2014, where they focused on providing private education services to individual clients. Carlo specialized in advanced STEM subjects, various Advanced Placement courses, SAT and ACT test preparation, and college application consulting. Through remote learning, Carlo successfully reached students across the United States and overseas.

Carlo's earlier work experience includes a research position at the Sensors and Technology Laboratory. From June 2009 to June 2013, they conducted independent research paid by a National Science Foundation Research Grant. Carlo'swork involved developing and fabricating original chips for conducting biological operations in lab settings, designing polymer molding systems, and participating in the mask design process.

Additionally, Carlo served as a Design Consultant at ANEEVE LLC from September 2011 to February 2012. During their tenure, they designed and fabricated housings for a female hormone measurement device using AutoCAD and an Objet24 3D Printer.

Carlo Paredes pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UCLA, from the year 2007 to 2012. In 2020, they enrolled at Thinkful to undergo a Full Stack Engineering Immersion program, but did not receive a degree from this institution.
