Max Cuvellier Giacomelli

Max Cuvellier Giacomelli serves as the Head of Mobile for Development at GSMA, where leadership of a team of over 130 experts and management of a $25 million annual budget are primary responsibilities. With a strong focus on digital innovation for sustainable development, Max has successfully fundraised $115 million since 2020 and provides strategic guidance across various initiatives. Expertise includes digital and financial inclusion, gender equality, and climate action. Max is also a co-founder of Africa: The Big Deal, a venture tracking start-up funding in Africa, and serves as a Consortium Partner for the Women in the Digital Economy Fund. Additional roles include being an Officer of the Board for the GSMA Foundation and an advisor to BuuPass. Prior career experiences include key positions at Orange, Altai Consulting, Apple, and HEC Junior Conseil. Max holds master's degrees from HEC Paris and Esade.
