David Newlands

David Newlands is a seasoned mechanical technician with extensive experience in the offshore oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Technician at BW Offshore since February 2017, David contributes to the Catcher FPSO project. Prior to this role, David worked at Marathon Oil Corporation as a Lead Mechanical Technician, overseeing the maintenance and repair of process and utility equipment. David's career began in 1984 at BP Shipping as a Junior Engineer, and evolved through various positions, including Operations Supervisor and Lead Mechanical Technician at Northern Marine Manning Services Ltd, and multiple roles at Petrofac from 2005 to 2012. David's educational background includes attendance at Great Baddow Comprehensive from 1977 to 1984.
