Martin Thom is an accomplished senior operations engineer with extensive experience in instrumentation and commissioning across multiple companies within the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Operations Engineer - Instrumentation at BW Offshore since December 2022, Martin has previously held key roles including Senior Commissioning Engineer at OCCMS Ltd and various positions at Bluewater Energy Services, focusing on asset life extension and operations management. Martin's tenure includes senior roles at Origin Energy as a focal point for operational performance in coal seam gas production, and at Maersk Oil providing critical operations support for floating production units. Martin began the career in instrumentation and control engineering at Petrofac and gained foundational experience as an Instrument Technician at Wood Group.
