Maroun Labaki

Maroun Labaki has extensive experience in journalism and media management, currently serving as Président at BX1 since February 2020. Previous roles include acting as Conseiller/Expert for Cabinet de Georges Gilkinet from March 2021 to August 2024 and as Président of Press Club Brussels Europe between July 2016 and April 2019. Maroun Labaki spent over two decades at Le Soir, holding multiple senior positions including Chef du service Monde and Chef de l’information. Additional contributions to the media industry include co-founding Vagabundo, a press infographics agency, and serving as Rédacteur en chef adjoint at Dimanche Matin. Early career highlights include roles as Correspondant européen for Profession Politique and L’Instant, as well as Correspondant at Le Soir in Athens.
