Joseph Ahrens

Joseph Ahrens worked as an Associate Engineer at Burns and Roe from December 2010 to February 2012. Joseph then held the position of Operating Engineer at Rudin Management from March 2012 to January 2013. From January 2013 to August 2018, Joseph worked at Con Edison in Operations and Controls. Joseph then returned to Rudin Management as an Assistant Chief Engineer from August 2018 to May 2022. Currently, Joseph is serving as the Director of Engineering at Boston Properties starting from May 2022.

Joseph Ahrens completed their Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College in 2010. Joseph also holds various certifications including LEED AP Operations + Maintenance from the U.S. Green Building Council and several certifications from the New York City Fire Department, such as FDNY Q01, FDNY F01, FDNY F60, FDNY F89, FDNY G60, FDNY P98, FDNY S12, and FDNY S13. Additionally, they are a certified 3rd Assistant Engineer (Steam / Motor / GT - Unlimited Tonnage) from the U.S. Coast Guard.
