Sophie Chow

Sophie Chow has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sophie most recently worked at Beam (formerly Edquity) as the VP of Design, a position they held since July 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Design at the same company from July 2021 to July 2022. Sophie also worked as a Senior Product Designer from March 2021 to August 2021.

Before joining Beam, Sophie worked at IDEO, where they held the position of Senior Design Lead from January 2020 to March 2021. Prior to that, they were a Design Lead from January 2019 to January 2020 and a UX Designer from March 2017 to December 2018.

Sophie's work experience also includes participating in the Interaction Design Program at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design in 2016. Sophie held various roles at Sennheiser Electronic GmbH & Co. KG, including Customer Insights and Strategic Innovation from April 2014 to December 2015 and Junior Market Researcher from February 2013 to March 2014.

Sophie also worked as a Business English Teacher at the Business and Technical Languages Groupe from May 2012 to December 2012. Sophie's earlier experience includes working as a Project Manager at the Henan Hope Project from June 2009 to November 2012 and as a Market Research Assistant at UMB Corporation from May 2006 to August 2010. Sophie Chow obtained a Graduate degree in Interaction Design from the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design in the year 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Honors in American Studies and Ethnicity, East Asian Languages and Cultures from the University of Southern California between 2005 and 2009. In 2010 to 2011, they obtained a Chinese Proficiency Certificate in Mandarin Chinese from the National Taiwan Normal University. Sophie also earned another Chinese Proficiency Certificate in Mandarin Chinese from Peking University in 2008. Sophie later pursued a Master's degree in Interaction Design from the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, although the specific start and end year for this degree are not provided.
