Afshin Shafie

Afshin Shafie has worked in a variety of roles since 1996. Afshin began their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Verity, Inc. From 2004 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at NexTag, Inc., followed by a role as Director of Engineering at FanSnap. In 2010, they moved to PlaySpan (A Visa Company) as Senior Director of Engineering. From 2014 to 2015, they held the role of Vice President of Engineering and Technical Advisor at EdCast Inc. and Co-Founder of Lab628. In 2016, they became the Head Coach at MVLA Soccer Club and in 2017, they became the Co-Founder of Byga. In 2019, they took on the role of Technical Advisor at Peeva.

Afshin Shafie obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo in 1994 and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the same university in 1996.
