Lori Kohn

Lori Kohn has extensive work experience in the financial industry, with a focus on real estate and portfolio management. Lori currently works as the Senior Vice President and Group Head of Special Assets and Portfolio Management at Byline Bank, where they lead a department of 20 members in managing the bank's most challenged loans. Prior to this role, Lori worked at Northern Trust Corporation as a Senior Vice President, managing a national commercial real estate loan workout portfolio. Lori was able to generate charge-off and reserve recoveries on a majority of the resolved relationships and recover 100% of principal on several exposures. Before that, they held the position of Senior Vice President at ORIX USA Corporation, where they directed a team in analyzing value-add acquisitions, development projects, and debt investments. Lori also worked at Corus Bank as the First Vice President, overseeing credit administration for a large national portfolio. Lori started their career at Heller Financial as a Director, where they were involved in underwriting and planning real estate construction loans, as well as loan pricing and structuring. Lori began their professional journey as an Associate Investment Manager at Prudential Financial, where they were selected for a rotational training program and promoted to Investment Manager upon completion. Lori evaluated and managed risks associated with various real estate transactions and implemented strategies to enhance the financial performance of Midwest real estate holdings.

Lori Kohn completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Management at The Wharton School from 1982 to 1986.
