Miguel Caires

Group Director, Technology Innovation at Beyond

Miguel Caires has diverse work experience in technology innovation, directing technology, and managing teams. Their most recent role was as Group Director of Technology Innovation at Beyond, where they started in October 2022. Prior to that, they were Director of Technology at Beyond from June 2019 to October 2022. Miguel also worked as a Senior Tech Manager at Beyond (May 2018 to June 2019), Front End Team Lead (October 2017 to April 2018), and Senior Front End Developer (January 2016 to September 2017) at the same company.

Before their time at Beyond, Miguel was a Founding Partner at Toca dos Traquinas, a medium-sized daycare in Portugal, from September 2009 (ongoing). In this role, they actively participated in strategic decisions and was responsible for the IT infrastructure, including planning and implementing IT services.

Miguel Caires earned a Master of Research degree in Web Science & Big Data Analytics from UCL, graduating in 2013. Prior to that, they completed a minor in Multimedia from Instituto Superior de Tecnologias Avançadas from 2007 to 2010. Miguel's earliest education history includes attending the Universidade da Madeira from 2002 to 2006, although no specific degree or field of study is provided. In terms of certifications, Miguel obtained the Webflow Enterprise Partner certification from Webflow in July 2023, the Contentful Certified Professional Exam certification from Contentful in April 2023, and they became a Mental Health First Aider through Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England in September 2021.
