Carey MacDonald has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career as a Museum Assistant at the Connecticut State Museum of Natural History in 2013. In 2015, they worked as an Archival Processor at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University and as a Digital Cataloger at WGBH. During the same year, they also joined Bynder as a Graduate Digital Asset Management Intern. At Bynder, Carey progressed through different positions, including Implementation Consultant, Enterprise Implementation Consultant, Team Lead for Enterprise Onboarding, and Senior Enterprise Onboarding Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Onboarding Manager, Strategic Engagements at Bynder. In 2016, Carey had a brief stint at the Museum of Science, Boston as a Graduate Practicum in the Educator Resource Center. Overall, Carey's work experience showcases their proficiency in managing implementation processes, onboarding clients, and archival processing.
Carey MacDonald completed a Master of Library and Information Science (M.S.) from Simmons University between 2014 and 2016. They obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Anthropology with a minor in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including being a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner from Prosci in September 2022, Leadership Coaching from Cultivate Growth - AHT Coaching LLC in 2021, and certifications in Leading Inclusive Teams and Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in December 2020. They also completed the Lepaya Trail in 2019.
