Leon Weemen

Leon Weemen is a seasoned backend engineer with extensive experience in software development and team leadership. Currently a Senior Backend Engineer at Bynder since January 2018, Leon previously held positions as Lead Developer at SIMgroep from October 2009 to December 2017, where responsibilities included team reorganization and implementing various frameworks such as Zend, Symfony, and Silex. Starting as a freelancer in 2009, Leon developed a custom PHP framework and created marketing materials for clients. Additionally, Leon gained early development experience through internships at Inventeers and held a team leader position at C1000 Hoogendoorn. Leon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication & Multimedia Design from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and an MBO degree in IT from ROC Zadkine College.
