Ricardo Heilbron has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries.

Beginning in 2013, they worked at KPMG en Colombia, where they focused on Risk Consulting, conducting financial modeling and economic damage calculations for disputes in various industries. Ricardo also gained experience in Management Consulting, particularly in implementing FATCA and CRS rules in financial institutions.

In 2015, Heilbron co-founded Piragua Shop, an e-commerce platform for fashion designers. Ricardo was responsible for operations, sales, and finance, and also served as a team leader in an early-stage startup program.

From 2016 to 2018, Heilbron joined Rappi, a delivery service company, where they held multiple roles. As a Launcher and Expansion lead, they successfully launched operations in Brazil and structured launches for other cities. Ricardo built and led cross-functional teams, overseeing operations, sales, and growth. Later, as an Operations Manager, they managed operations in three cities in Colombia, focusing on optimizing performance, courier pool growth, and improving customer ratings. During their tenure, they achieved significant results, including a 35% reduction in delivery time and a 4x increase in the courier pool.

In 2019, Heilbron joined Circ as a Senior Operations Manager. Ricardo led the launch of operations in Frankfurt and achieved rapid growth in a new market within two weeks. Ricardo also played a key role in implementing a fleet management project across 20+ markets, emphasizing operational excellence and process standardization.

In 2020, Heilbron joined HelloFresh as a Strategic Project Manager, bringing their expertise in project management and strategy to the company.

Currently, Heilbron serves as the Director of Expansion at byrd, where they are responsible for leading international expansion efforts to new countries and new services. Ricardo has already launched operations in Italy and Spain and spearheaded the Seller Fulfilled Prime initiative, which allows e-commerce merchants to fulfill orders via byrd while having the Amazon Prime badge.

Ricardo Heilbron pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Grenoble Ecole de Management from 2018 to 2020, specializing in the field of Business. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes between 2009 and 2013. In 2013, they attended Harvard University for the Harvard Summer School program. Ricardo obtained their International Baccalaureate Diploma from Colegio Alemán - Deutsche Schule Barranquilla, where they studied from 1995 to 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Ricardo Heilbron has obtained several certifications. In April 2023, they completed the "Product management: Transforming opportunities into great products" certification from Stanford University. In July 2021, they acquired the "Professional Scrum Master (PSM I)" certification from Scrum.org. Furthermore, they completed the "Bloomberg Essentials Training Program" offered by Bloomberg LP in 2013.
