William Johnston

William Johnston is a seasoned consultant with extensive experience in various board and committee roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a consultant at ByrneWallace LLP since December 2020, William also holds significant positions such as a member of the Board and the Audit & Risk Committee at the Port of Waterford and the Housing Finance Agency plc. Additionally, William has been the Honorary Secretary and a board member at The National Maternity Hospital since June 2013. William has contributed to the Law Society of Ireland as an external examiner in Banking law and a lecturer in the Finance Law Diploma since 2003. Prior experience includes a long tenure at Arthur Cox LLP from August 1985 to December 2017, where William held roles as a partner, solicitor, and consultant. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Economics and Administration from Trinity College Dublin.
