Cynthia Homan

Cynthia Homan has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2007. Her first role was as a Software Developer at Tenrec, Inc., where they developed custom databases and websites using Microsoft VB. In 2009, they took on the role of Lead Software Developer at Willamette Consulting. In 2010, they worked as a Web Developer at Central Oregon Community College, where they prepared and monitored project plans, collected and documented user requirements, and developed and documented information architecture for a new website. From 2012 to 2016, they worked at Deschutes Brewery as a Senior Developer/Database Developer, where they were responsible for database development and business intelligence, web application development, and project management. In 2016, they worked as a Senior Search Strategist at Global Strategies International and as a Software Developer - Business Intelligence at PacificSource Health Plans. Finally, from 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Software Developer at Five Talent and from 2018 to present, they have been the Director of Professional Services Operations at Bytecode IO, Inc., where they help clients take their data from database to ETL to business intelligence. Cynthia has experience with a variety of databases including AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL, as well as a variety of ETL tools including Stitch, FiveTran, SSIS, and Matillion.

Cynthia Homan earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis, graduating in 1990. Cynthia then went on to further their education, earning a Master's Degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University in 2015.
