Xiaotian Han

Xiaotian Han is a Senior Research Scientist at ByteDance since August 2023, specializing in building multimodal Generative AI. Prior to this role, Xiaotian served as a Senior Applied Scientist at Microsoft from July 2019 to August 2023, focusing on the development and productization of computer vision algorithms. Experience at Microsoft also includes roles as Applied Scientist II and Applied Scientist, where efforts were directed toward enhancing computer vision models for the Image Understanding team within Bing Multimedia, including projects on fashion object detection and attribute prediction. Earlier experience includes a research internship at Kwai, where Xiaotian optimized a MinMax algorithm for Doudizhu Poker, and a research internship at Tencent, developing algorithms for large-scale graph analysis. Education includes a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Big Data) from Duke University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China.
