John L. Silva has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. John L. started their career as an Accounts Receivable Representative at Shurfine International and later became an Assistant Product Manager. John L. then joined Hewitt, where they held positions such as Participant Services Associate, Dedicated Facilitator, Project Manager, and Unit Manager. After that, they worked as a Landscape Designer and Entrepreneur at O'Brien Landscape. Currently, they are the HR Manager/Director at C.E. Niehoff & Co., where they oversee a team responsible for HR, Payroll, and Safety. Throughout their career, John has been a trusted advisor and business partner, developing policies, trainings, and system improvements.

John L. Silva, PCC, SHRM-SCP, MA, MPM has a diverse education history spanning several institutions and fields of study. In 1991, they graduated as the Class Valedictorian from Fenton High School. John L. went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry and Religion from Hope College in 1994.

In 1999, John obtained a Master's degree in Project Management with distinction from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. Later, from 2013 to 2014, they completed Social and Emotional Intelligence Training and Leadership & Transformation coursework at The Wright Foundation for the Realization of Human Potential - Year of Transformation. John L. further expanded their knowledge in this area by undertaking Social and Emotional Intelligence Training and Leadership & Transformation coursework at The Wright Foundation for the Realization of Human Potential - Transformation Lab from 2014 to 2016.

Starting in 2016, John pursued various graduate certificates at Wright Graduate University, including Transformational Leadership, Transformational Coaching, Emotional Intelligence for Leadership and Coaching, and Social Intelligence for Leadership and Coaching. John L. obtained their M.A. degree in Transformational Leadership and Coaching from Wright Graduate University in 2019.
