Andrew Nelson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Andrew began their career at New London Engineering in 1997 as a CNC programmer, welder, and fabricator. Andrew gained extensive knowledge in sheet-metal fabrication and conveyor manufacturing during their four-year tenure.
In 2000, Nelson joined Richmark Patterns as a machinist, where they operated CNC and manual milling machines and lathes. Andrew also participated in assembly, polishing, inspection, and shipping of finished patterns for the pattern making industry.
Starting in 2002, Nelson worked at Saputo Inc. as a maintenance technician/electrician. Andrew was responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates of plant systems. Additionally, they performed GTAW and SMAW welding, operated manual lathes, and had experience with PLC and controls maintenance.
At AZCO Construction, Inc., from 2004 to 2005, Nelson served as a millwright apprentice, gaining valuable experience in the field.
Finally, since 2005, Nelson has been employed at CR Meyer, where they have held various roles. Andrew worked as a journeyman millwright foreman, estimating, coordinating, and managing projects. Nelson also demonstrated expertise in workforce and time management, as well as GTAW, SMAW, and GMAW welding. Currently, they serve as a millwright/project superintendent.
Andrew Nelson received their Diploma in Industrial Arts and CAD from New London High School in 1996. Andrew then attended Fox Valley Technical College in 1996-1997, where they studied Mechanical Design. Later, from 2004 to 2008, Andrew attended the NWRCC Training Center, an affiliate of Northeast Technical College, where they pursued a Journeyman degree in Millwright Apprenticeship Training.
